We’re still building towards SummerSlam for the next few weeks, but there has been some interesting news and notes in the wrestling world that are being overlooked with the huge summer event right around the corner. Below is some quick news and notes from this past week, including a scary moment involving a fan striking WWE Superstar Roman Reigns during a match with Bray Wyatt at a live event. So let’s get to it.
– RAW news and spoilers for 8-10-15
Ryback is scheduled to come back from his long layoff with a nasty Staph infection and is suppose to continue his feud with the Big Show and Miz.
Sheamus has been pulled from tonight’s RAW after suffering a possible concussion in last week’s main event. Something was clearly wrong with Sheamus during the match as he was checked on multiple times throughout by WWE officials. No word on what the injury actually is though.
WWE fan favorite Dolph Ziggler is still not scheduled to return for tonight’s RAW in Washington as filming for the movie “6:42” is still taking place. The film is scheduled to conclude shooting this week and Ziggler is scheduled to return RAW next week.
Arrow star Stephen Amell will be on tonight’s RAW to kick off his feud with Stardust.
John Cena is scheduled to miss RAW tonight. This could lead to an Undertaker and/or a Lesnar appearance however and those are always worth the TV time.
Fan Attacks Roman Reigns
In a senseless and stupid move, a fan threw a replica Money In the Bank briefcase at Roman Reigns, striking him in the head during his match with Bray Wyatt at Saturday’s WWE live event in Victoria, British Columbia.
CTVNews.ca confirmed that the fan was in fact arrested but charges were later dropped after he issued an apology. There were no significant injuries in the incident although Reigns seemed to be in shock that it had happened. A Victoria police spokesman told CTVNews.ca that the fan “snuck” the briefcase into the arena and when other fans began chanting for him to throw it into the ring, he did.
The 31-year-old man has been banned from all future WWE events.
Please stop being stupid. These guys are already sacrificing their own well being on a nightly basis for our amusement. There is no need for any fan to act this way. Especially an adult over the age of 30. Below is a fan video taken of the fallout after the incident occurred.
